A Body of Text is an ongoing attempt at articulating dance and choreography through writing, an artistic practice and an exploration.
A Body of Text is a collection of choreographic poems, open for physical interpretation by anyone.
Below are different versions of some scores from the collection, in which the act of editing is made open rather than hidden. Through a process of working and reworking the texts, the scores take on different forms and shift their meanings, while the choreography inherently inhabiting them also transforms and accumulates substance.

An irregular birdsong escapes
it starts pulling on the thin strings that turn wrists into hooves and feathers
but I am not a winged thing.
I am the imitation of a waltzing war horse from a Russian pre-revolution music box
to be replaced by a ballerina
and the melody of a bird-neck snapping in half.
